Kit McDonald is a filmmaker from Livingston, NJ, who came to Savannah by way of Belfast, Northern Ireland where she studied Film as an undergraduate. She has been focusing on directing in the SCAD Film & Television MFA program. Kit wrote Light Years and will direct. She is so excited to share this project because of its personal subject matter, and she is thrilled to have such an amazing team helping her realize her vision. She's also extremely excited to go to space (we've tried to tell her it's just green screen....)
ABIGAIL TAYLOR-SANSOM
Screenwriter
Abigail is a writer and multimedia storyteller. She has experience working across a variety of formats, from traditional theater and film to theme parks and gaming. From 2019-2020, Abigail was part of the Show Writing and Story Development team at Walt Disney Imagineering in Disney parks. In April, Abigail joined the team at Hunt A Killer, which was recently named one of the top ten innovators in the gaming industry by Fast Company. She currently works with HAK’s writers and designers to create immersive murder mystery games for a global audience.
SASHA RANGEL GARCIA

Sasha is an undergraduate at the Savannah College of Art and Design pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television with a minor in Dramatic Writing. Born in Moterrey, Mexico but raised in Miami, FL, she recently transitioned from writing novels to screenplays to bring personal, intimate stories to the big screen. With a lot of coffee in her system, she focuses on writing, producing, and directing.

Raegan Levan is a filmmaker from Kissimmee, Florida, currently pursuing her B.F.A. in Film and Television at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her passion for filmmaking started at the age of nine when she would make short films starring her pet duck, Puddleduck. Since then she has continued to create stories and pursue her passion with a focus in producing at SCAD. As both a filmmaker and space enthusiast, she is absolutely over the moon to be part of this incredible crew and help bring Light Years to orbit!

Born and raised in Mexico City, and later San Antonio, Katy Shetler brings a little entree of cinematographic spice to the table. She’s a current MFA student at SCAD, focusing on cinematography and editing. When she’s not behind the camera or tip-typing away inside of an editing suite, you can find her snacking on pizza, sippin’ on some suds, or getting a haircut at Great Clips. She can also split an apple with her bare hands.
